Hi! Jana hosts Top Ten Tuesday every week at @thatartsyreadergirl. This meme was born out of a love of lists and bringing the book blogging community together. Each week, Jana will post a prompt,, and we readers will make our list based on that prompt. We also have the option of doing our own thing if we don’t have an idea for the topic that week. This week, our topic is Anticipated Books for the second half of the year. I always love these topics.

1- You, Me, and Our Heartstrings by Melissa See

I talked about this a few weeks ago, but I can’t wait to read this. I love music, and I love when books have musical elements in them.

2- Two Wrongs Make a Right by Chloe Liese

As a Shakespeare fan, this book sounds amazing, and I can’t wait to see where this story goes.

3- The Comedienne’s Guide to Pride by Hay Li Thompson

I added this to my TBR recently, but this book sounds so good! I think that Taylor sounds like a fantastic character, and I can’t wait to read her story.

4- It Sounds Like This by Anna Meriano

I have seen little about this book. I was never in Marching Band, however; I was a choir kid, and a theater kid, but I want to read this because it has a music theme. I love any book that incorporates music into books, and this book is blurbed for fans of Kate In Waiting.

5- Eight Nights of Flirting by Hannah Reynolds

I love books with Jewish characters, and this Rom-Com sounds so cute for the winter. I can’t wait to read about Shira and  Isaac, and also see where things go with Tyler in the story.

6- Astrid Parker Doesn’t Fail by Ashley Herring Blake

I’m currently reading Delilah Green Doesn’t Care, which is in first book in this duology? I’m not sure, but this book is very cute, and very sweet so far. I can’t wait to read this book because I enjoy Astrid as a character, and I can’t wait to see where her story goes.

7- Acting the Part by Z.R. Ellor

I love queer stories, and when you add an actor into the mix, I am even more on board with that. I can’t wait to read this and see where the story goes.

8- We Are Never Getting Back Together by Sophie Gonzales

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I read a book and listened to another book by Sophie Gonzales. I can’t wait to see what this book has in store, and how this book compares to her other books.

9- Ben and Beatriz by Katalina Gamarra

I’m a fan of Shakespeare, and I can’t wait to read this retelling of Much Ado About Nothing.

10- Drizzle Dreams and Lovestruck Things by Maya Prasad

This book follows four sisters and their father. I can’t wait to read this book, and see all the sisters in this novel come to life. The story seems to be for fans of Little Women, which is one of my favorite books.

  1. Ooooh, what a good list! I have Eight Nights of Flirting on my TBR and it looks really good! I absolutely adored Delilah Green Doesn’t Care, and just got approved for Astrid Parker Doesn’t Fail, so I’m pretty excited about that ARC, as well as Drizzle, Dreams, and Lovestruck Things. Fingers crossed for those, and I hope you love all these when you get to read them.

  2. I don’t read much YA contemporary but as a former band geek (drum major, no less!), I’m now super excited to read It Sounds Like This. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!

I hope you enjoy these when you read them!

  3. I’ve only read a few books from Chloe Liese, and to be honest, I haven’t had the best time with them. Although her upcoming one looks promising so I might give it a go too!
